For our market research, we made a questionnaire for students to fill out. This way, we can find out what our audience want from their magazine. To get a more even range of the target demographic, I'm going to use the average opinion from the class.
To start off with, we found that the majority of students at our college don't actually read any sort of student magazines. Therefore, I had to make sure that my magazine would appeal to those who would typically not bother with reading their college's magazine.
As a class, we found that music and parties are the most popular subjects for the students in this area. Therefore, my magazine is going to concentrate on the more social sides of college life. This will include finding ways to make revision less stressful, recommendations for local gigs to allow students to unwind and advertise social events happening with in the region.
We also found that the students will only be willing to pay a small amount of money for it, roughly under £2. This means the magazine will have to include large amounts of advertising to be able to make money.
